Virtual Property Tycoon Marries
Ebay Oldie
Hi Friend,
All good this end, I’ve got
friends getting married left
right and centre, and, someone I
know seems to be producing a
baby every other day of the
week. But the marriage I’m going
to talk to you about today is
the one between good old
faithful ebay and my special
favourite, virtual property.
What I actually mean is by
bringing together these two
internet phenomena you could
generate yourself a whacking
great income with very little
effort required. This technique
hasn’t been tapped too much so
far so the timing is spot on.
Let me explain. I recently
happened to type in “resell
rights” into ebay.co.uk (not
.com). There, I found there were
over five thousand listings for
this search term. Now obviously
people are buying these listings
or there wouldn’t be so many for
sale. But to me, that’s too much
competition. Also some of these
guys are selling packages for as
little as pound, etc. Obviously
those sorts of figures don’t
particularly excite me as I’m
all about bigger profits.
Then I searched for “website for
sale”. I was surprised to learn
there were only 358 listings,
many of which were for adult
sites that a lot of people
wouldn’t want to get involved
in.
This got me thinking of an idea
that could be a great part time
earner. Here’s how and it
involves using my Virtual
Property system to create ten
different ebooks in any niche
market that happens to interest
you (interest at this stage will
help maintain your motivation).
You could also create audios,
video seminars, home study
courses, etc – all very easy
using my VPT system – but for
now we’ll stick with the ebook
example.
You would start by sourcing no
or low cost books from the
public domain using web sites
such as
http://www.gutenberg.org/ .
Remember the public domain
includes books or works
which have no copyright. The
copyright has expired or the
product never had copyright in
the first place – either way it means such works are readily available
for anyone to grab.
You would then have the books
scanned into digital format to
create downloadable ebooks. Some
of the longer books you got hold
of could be chopped up to make
two or more of your ten ebooks.
You’ve now got a ten product web
site line. (You’ll need to
create sales letters for each
product. Copywriting is a must
in my eyes!).
You would then sell each of your
10 packages (consisting of an
ebook and a ready made sales
page).
You would go on ebay and
advertise your products in the
‘web sites for sale’ section.
But here’s the clever part, you
DO NOT sell resell rights.
Instead you offer a licence to
each web site. You must explain
that this is an exclusive
product that only ten people
will ever be able to buy. This
one simple phrase, ‘licence’,
rather than ‘resell rights’,
will increase your sales
dramatically I assure you.
So how much could you sell these
sites for? Honestly, I don’t
know. At the moment I've got too
much going on to really get
stuck in to this properly. But
I’m 110% convinced this
technique could generate a
substantial revenue. I would
guess this product could sell
for at least $19.97 per site, if
you do it correctly. It will
take some tweaking but I have no
doubt this could work well.
If you sold all ten licences to
each of your ten web sites at
$19.97 a pop (10 x 10 x $19.97)
you'd make a tidy $1997 (not
including back end sales, more
on this shortly). Even if this
took you a whole year to sell
all 100, you've still made two
grand for a few days work. Not
bad hey!
Another way to differentiate
yourself from everyone else is
rather then selling the sales
letter and ebook as a download,
instead you could burn it on to
a CDrom. Add an extra $5 to the
sale and $3 postage and
packaging and you’ll really be
standing out from the crowd. You
could even package several of
your new web sites together (I
would suggest no more than ten)
and sell licenses to a master
web site for $197.
You could take it a stage
further and buy a domain name
and web hosting for each site
(although you'd have to transfer
the details of the owner of the
domain name over which isn't
that hard but may get a little
tricky) and add on another $15
to the sale price. The more
value you give the customer the
better. Why not chuck in some
bonuses too.
That’s it for this week. Next
week I am going to give you an
amazing turnkey business as a
thank you for your continued
loyalty as a faithful subscriber
who reads my weekly VPT Solution
