In my last couple of newsletters
I’ve been teaching you about the
huge profits that you can make
selling information products
online. The high ‘perceived’
value of information and the
money multiplier effect of
downloadable products are the
two key factors that make this
so possible.
This week I said I’d show you
how to quickly get your products
to market and generate fast
returns. Turns out, I’m
postponing that till next week.
The reason? Well, I reviewed
what you learnt last week and
realised that there was a
gemstone sitting there right
under your noses and that unless
I pointed it out to you right
away you might not ever realise
its immense value. So please
stick with me on this one.
Earlier this week I was working
on a new product of mine that is
going to be in the business
niche market. It’s at its early
stages and usually this is the
point where my excitement for a
new product motivates me to
create something at a million
miles an hour. Then, yesterday,
I suddenly realised I’d been
researching one small element
for several hours. Instantly I
realised I had been very
unproductive for half a day –
and that’s not the way I
normally work I MASSIVELY hasten
to add!
Immediately I took a step back
and thought how can I do this
faster? I quickly realised that
what I was trying to re-create
was already created. All I had
to do was gather together
information that already existed
and that I could easily find,
tweak it so it read in my style,
and hey presto I had the job
done in less than an hour.
This leads me on to a very
important rule when it comes to
starting, expanding and running
your own internet business – and
that is you DO NOT have to
re-invent the wheel. This
philosophy can be applied to
every part of your internet
business, from writing ebooks to
creating sales copy to producing
informative articles to help
promote your web site.
So many people get bogged down
in the detail when all they need
to do is take a slightly
different approach and they’ll
have it done in a fraction of
the time. It’s an unfortunate
fact that those who
procrastinate in this business
will fail and those who think
cleverly will succeed. It’s that
simple. This is how successful
wealthy marketers do things and
this is how, by copying them,
you are going to do things. If
you follow the ‘you DO NOT have
to re-invent the wheel’ rule
you’ll go a lot further much
faster than most.
This, you’ll already be aware
of, is how I teach things. If you remember, I briefly mentioned the importance of good sales copy last week. A professional looking web site is a very important part of developing a profitable internet business. However, your sales copy is just as important and each will play a major role in your success.
