Online
Marketing No Longer Works
Hi Friend,
Firstly, I’d like to say a big
thank you to everyone who helped
make Friday’s Billion Dollar
Clone launch go as smoothly as
possible. Secondly,
congratulations to everyone who
managed to get one of the
limited places – you will see
the offer closed on Saturday the
day after the launch. Sorry to
those who didn’t.
The good news is, due to some
duplicate orders, we are going
to be able to release a few more
places for BDC (see details at
the bottom of this newsletter).
I also want to thank my loyal
subscribers who didn’t fancy the
BDC opportunity, for being so
patient over the last couple of
weeks whilst I’ve been banging
on about it. Rest assured I’ll
make it up to you with some
superb content that I’ve got in
the pipeline for you over the
coming weeks.
Anyway on to today’s subject…
It’s easy, when marketing
online, to forget about offline
products. Think about it. Have
you ever come across an offline
product that really caught your
eye that you have never seen
online before?
I was watching an eye-opening
program on TV recently about
ordinary people who had the
simplest of ideas, put them
online and were now making a
fortune. Let me give you some
examples of how this works
before I reveal a clever twist
which you can apply to this
technique to so your online
income explodes….
On the TV program one lady
spotted that bed slippers would
be a good seller. She knocked up
a simple web site, imported a
load of slippers from Asia and now she’s making hundreds of thousands a year.
Another woman noticed that
ladies with bigger boobs than
average had hardly any choice
when it came to bra shopping.
She jumped into that niche, set
up online and now she’s making
thousands and selling to
customers all over the world.
What a great pair – of ideas
those are!
Now I know you may think new
ideas are hard to come by but
not necessarily – particularly
in the more specific niche
markets. That’s the beauty of
the internet, because your shop
front is the entire world even
if only one person in ten
thousand, a hundred thousand or
even a million are interested in
your product that’s still
thousands of potential customers
worldwide.
How to find your ‘new money’
idea
If you haven’t seen any
particular product which grabs
your interest the best place to
start looking – ironically – is
online. Search for companies
that have offline sales agents
already and think about
approaching the ones that appeal
to you the most with your
proposition. As hard as it may
be to believe there are still
some businesses that don’t have
any kind of online presence at
all – and you could be just what
they are looking for.
You should also try looking in
your local area to see what
businesses are there, before you
look any further afield. Quite
often they will be the ones who
haven’t got online yet. It might
take some work to find a product
you like that has great
potential for taking online, but
the end result can be well worth
it.
Selling Your Product: Low Hassle
v Maximum Profits
As with becoming an online
affiliate marketer and getting
paid commissions for generating
sales for other people’s
products, you can do exactly the
same offline by becoming a sales
agent. Usually this means you
get paid a percentage from every
sale you make, so it all depends
on how many products you can get
access to.
Some businesses allow you to
join as a sales agent and sell a
range of products, in which case
you could set up a website (with
their agreement of course)
promoting all of them in turn.
Alternatively, some businesses
prefer to let you promote their
product on a sale or return
basis. Others may require you to
buy a quantity of the product
first and take a chance on
whether it would sell well
online or not.
Your orders will be received via
your site and processed via your
supplier directly so you won’t
have to worry about any customer
service whatsoever.
You other choice is to sell your
own product. As with all online
business ventures if you have
your own product to sell you
will maximise your profits. This
will involve other steps such as
talking to suppliers and paying
distribution and storage costs,
setting up your web site, etc.
But if you can sort all that
your can earn even bigger.
Marketing your product
Next using all the armoury of
internet marketing techniques
you know about (through my
newsletters and elsewhere)
you’ll be able to blow your
competition out of the water and
generate a substantial income.
Here are just a handful of
marketing techniques you could
use:
- Youtube – create a short
appealing video (funny is best)
related to your product, add in
a link to your web site, upload
it to youtube, make it go viral
and watch the sales come in.
- Twitter – buildup a following
of people who would be
interested in your product, then
subtly introduce a link to your
website.
- Press Release – write a short
press release about your
product, add in your web site
link in the ‘author bio’, submit
it to prweb.com, sit back and
wait for the sales to come in.
- Article marketing – write and
submit articles about your
product to article directories
such as Ezinearticles.com or
Goarticles.com to generate
fr.e.e traffic
- Forums – sign up to forums in
your niche, build up rapport and
direct your new ‘friends’ to
your web page.
- And there are many many more
ways you can market your offline
product. (visit the link at the
bottom for past copies of my
newsletters explaining these
techniques in detail).
Now let me reveal my clever
twist to explode your profits
Now what most sales agents do is
focus solely on selling their
slippers, bras, or whatever
their product may be. We know
better than that. We know that
building your own customer list
is the key to a long term
successful business. So after
purchasing you send your
customer to an opt in page where
they provide you with their name
and email address (you can use
aweber.com to set this up). And
it’s this list that you’re going
to ‘cultivate’ in order to
explode your income.
Either you can send them offers
in the future about other
related products. For example,
if you were selling slippers,
you could promote dressing
gowns, pyjamas, bed sheets, etc
to them and they would be very
likely to buy from you.
Or, and here’s the clever part,
try and think of an information
product that your customers
would be interested in. For
example, sticking with the
slippers example, you could sell
them an ebook on bed-time
stories, interpreting dreams,
secrets of a good nights sleep,
etc. This way you’ll be showing
them that you have their best
interests at heart.
Create your simple ebook by
doing some online research (or
pay someone at elance.com to do
it for you) and sell it to them
for say $19.95. Or, you could
set up a member site with new
content added each week and
charge them $19.95 a month to
gain access.
Once you are selling
downloadable information
products to them your profits
will explode from twenty to
thirty percent to nearly one
hundred percent per sale! And
then you could create and sell
higher end products such as
audios and videos all relevant
to your niche market. Very
simple to do and massive profit
potential.
A good way to maintain the
relationship with your customers
in the mean time is to send them
weekly newsletters. You can
create these simply by
researching articles on article
directories, forums and Google.
By doing this, your customers
will be more likely to buy from
you again and again.
So if
you have thought of a product
and you still know where to find
it, why not consider trying to
market it online? In general if
you come across something that
hasn’t really taken off online
yet you have a great chance of
getting in there before the rest
of the bandits.
Whichever way you approach this
opportunity, do some research
before you agree to anything.
Find out as much about the
product as you can – who it
would appeal to, what price it
retails for, and how much your
profit margin would be on each
unit.
It’s easy to get caught up in
the excitement of finding a
product that you love and you
think you could make money with,
but you need to be certain that
a lot of other people will like
it just as much as well! By
finding out as much as you can
in the first place you stand a
better chance of making a good
profit. And then when you resell
and upsell to your customers
using your well earned internet
marketing knowledge you’ll be
the one laughing all the way to
the bank!
BDC update
If you’ve been stuck in a cave
or are new to my list and
haven’t heard about the Billion
Dollar Clone Program, or, if you
were unlucky and missed out on
the places available I do have
some good news.
In their rush to get a place
last Friday a few people
accidentally ordered two or even
three copies. We’ve now had time
to go through these and it turns
out there are nine more
available places. Details for
how to get one of these will be
released in next Wednesday’s
newsletter so you must keep your
eyes peeled if you want to get a
place. Feedback has been amazing
so far so you will have to act
quickly.
Click on the link below to
remind yourself of what BDC is
all about and to get on the
early notification list:
Until then have a great week,
