Armageddon Unleashes Traffic Tidal Wave

Last week I showed you some cunning techniques to get more no cost traffic to your web site than you’d see at Spaghetti Junction at rush hour on an August bank holiday. Today I’m going to blast past that by revealing stealth tactics that’ll get you more fr.e’e traffic than you’d see if the whole world were fleeing Armageddon!

These traffic tactics continue from the three I showed you last week…

Traffic Tactic #4 - Yahoo Answers ‘Invisible Shadow’

You have probably heard of Yahoo answers and getting traffic from them. But there is a little trick you can do to get indexed on the first page of Google in just few hours and stay there for a long time.

Ok so what you do is first go to yahoo answers and set up two accounts, a main account and a second, what I call ‘invisible shadow’ account. Make sure you use totally different user names and passwords for each. What you need to aim to do is to get each of your accounts up to ‘Level 2’ on yahoo answers because when you get there any links you post will become clickable.

Basically, yahoo answers works on a points system and to get to level 2 you first need to build up 250 points. The main points you get are one hundred points for signing up, one point for signing in each day, two points for answering a question (there is a limit of twenty questions you can answer per day), ten points for being chosen as a ‘best’ answer and one point for voting on unresolved questions. And bear in mind asking a question costs you five points.

Anyway you’ll build up to 250 points very quickly in just a few days. When both your main and shadow accounts have reached Level 2, you need to post a question with your main account that will generate a lot of intrigue and interest.

IMPORTANT: Your question should also contain the particular keyword or keyword phrase you are trying to rank for, for example, “How do I potty train my puppy?” When you ask your question make sure you sound sincere as if you really are a puppy dog owner knee deep in dog doo in your front room. Ask if anyone has any advice.

Now, believe me, you will get a truck load of answers. After receiving just two answers, you should then use your shadow account to post an answer giving a couple of tricks on how to actually train a puppy and say you know the best guide I ever read on training my puppy was “such and such guide”. This is where you post the URL link to your own web site where you are actually selling that potty training guide for puppies – if that’s the kind of thing you’re in to! Obviously, it can be related to whatever it is you are selling.

Then, and here’s the clever part, after a few hours have passed go back to your main account and mark the answer from your shadow account as your best answer. Because Google ranks yahoo answers very highly, now every single person who visits searches for your question or keyword phrase on ‘how do I train my puppy’, will see your answer coming up first. If you’ve followed what I said and set this up correctly this will open the flood gates to a river of zero cost traffic to your web site – and that’s the way we like it.

This traffic tactic is fast, simple and costs absolutely nothing PLUS you can remain at the top of the rankings for some time during which time loads of people will click on your link and visit your web site. A no cost traffic deluge, how cool is that?! And once you’ve set it up like this you can swap the roles of your main and shadow account and do the exact same process. Then repeat later with other questions or even other accounts.

However, you must make sure you do not over use this tactic otherwise yahoo will penalise you by removing your points (so you won’t be able to include links), or, if they smell a rat, in the worst case, they’ll kick you out. To make sure this doesn’t happen, after using this tactic, use both your yahoo accounts to answer at least another five questions genuinely without any outgoing links – you only need post short helpful answers but this will help maintain your credibility.

Traffic Tactic #5 – The ‘Links’ Effect

Now, I’m not talking about using deodorant to attract cute young ladies or prevent underarm body odour here. I’m talking about the effect of getting niche list owners to spread your web site links all over the internet for nothing. This, in turn, will generate you yet another fr.e’e traffic source. And it’s very simple to do.

If your can provide quality content - content that can help people out – you can generate a fortune. The reason is because there are many thousands of affiliates and online marketers out there who are so busy trying to make a quick buck that they often don’t have time, or more likely can’t be bothered, to write their own quality content.

There are literally loads of these people who just flit from one new product or project to the next and these are exactly who you can target. What you do is simply shoot them an email and offer to provide their weekly newsletter content or give them a free ebook to give to their list. In return you ask them to include your link in when they send out any content you provided.

How to you get the content? Simple. Visit article directories like ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com, type in your niche key words, grab a few articles and re-write them in your own words. Don’t just copy them, you’ll get caught out. Rewrite them as newsletters or group them together and rewrite as a short ebook or report.

You could add in extra content by doing a quick search on Google and seeing what comes up – you’ll find loads of stuff. You don’t need to be Shakespeare – far from it in fact – and so long as you don’t produce complete rubbish web site owners will bite your hand off as they’re lazy and you’re offering them something for nothing effectively.

Make sure you include your link and this should link back to a squeeze page of yours (NOT a sales page as that will scare people off). Here you offer people an irresistible freebie in exchange for their email addresses. Bosh! More free traffic for you for as long as you’re happy to help out the lazy web site owners.
