Internet Diamond Cutter Revealed

Hi Friend,

Last week I talked about setting up your own profitable video information business in less than a day and I have to say I got an overwhelming response. People emailed in with loads of ideas - anything from how to train a pet bird to talk, to urban dance moves, to deep water sea fishing techniques. And this is exactly the sort of creativity I love to hear about and it also demonstrates how versatile the video idea is.

Today I’m going to reveal a cool technique that you can use to start earning big bucks online starting immediately. You don’t need a product, you don’t need any marketing skills and you don’t even need your own web site. This is something the newbie can set up literally in just a day or two.

What am I talking about?

Image advertising – the forgotten diamond cutter of the internet. It’s very simple to set up and it is totally under-rated and under-used. Thankfully, this also means it’s very cheap. That’s where you come in and I’m going to show you exactly what to do to profit big time. This is what the big guns use and it’s about time you jumped aboard the gravy train!

Most people know how expensive it has become to place a text advert on the Google search network using Google adwords. Basically you bid on keywords related to your offer and the more you bid the more chance it has of appearing on the first page of Google search results when someone types in your keyword. You then pay only when someone clicks on your advert and lands on the web page you are promoting either directly or as an affiliate.

Sounds great but it has become so competitive that the cost per click (CPC) is often anything from fifty cents to four or five dollars for a decent keyword. I recently used Google adwords to generate leads and I worked out it was costing me nearly twenty dollars to generate a single opt in. Rubbish!

So, as always, I decided to do some digging around and a couple of days later, purely by chance, I stumbled across an article about image advertising. I discovered that the CPC is much much cheaper for image (or banner) adverts on Google’s content network than for text ads on their search network. What’s more, hardly anyone’s doing it.

How it works is, instead of your text adverts appearing on the side when someone types in your keyword on Google, your image adverts appear on the content network. Google’s sophisticated software displays your advert on someone else’s site (so long as they are signed up to Google’s network) when it thinks it is relevant to the context of what a particular person is searching for at a particular time. And it all happens automatically without you having to lift a finger. Clever hey!

I set up a campaign, did some testing and sure enough I managed to cut my cost per lead to a fraction of what it previously cost. I was amazed how quick and simple this was to do. Then I quickly realised that I could put a clever twist on this forgotten technique to enable anyone to ‘cut their own diamonds’ from the internet.

Let me walk you step by step through what you need to do to get started…

Step One

Go to clickbank.com, click on ‘marketplace’, search through some products, check out their web sites and find something that you think you would like to promote as an affiliate. Sign up as an affiliate and get your unique affiliate link URL. This means you will get paid a commission (usually fifty to seventy-five percent) each time you refer someone who makes a purchase of that product. Now you just need to send people to that web site via your affiliate link.

Step Two

Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and create a list of keywords. Don’t panic, this is very simple. Type in you main key word, for example, if you are promoting a muscle growth product you could type in ‘bodybuilding’. Uncheck synonyms, hit ‘get keyword ideas’ and you’ll see a big list of keywords appear. Scroll down and click ‘add all’. Also add any ‘additional keywords’ below the main set of results if you think they are relevant.

Then skim through all the results and find keywords with a monthly global search volume of over one hundred thousand. If you think they are relevant write these down and then do a search for each one of them. Add the keyword results, and, again, pick out any with high search volumes and then search under those keywords. Keep doing this until you have a list of one thousand to fifteen hundred keywords.

On the right hand side you can download your list as a text or excel file and then you’re ready for the next step.

Step Three

Get some banners made up. You can do this yourself on photoshop if you have it. Or you could install software such as ‘gimp’. Just type in ‘gimp free download’ into Google and find it there. Careful you only get the image manipulation software and no other type of gimp! Or you can go to sites like www.20dollarbanners.com or www.tendollarbanners.com to get them done professionally and for reasonable cost.

You need to make sure your banners are less than 50KB in size and I recommend using .jpg or .gif format files. It’s very important that you get the size exactly correct. The pixel sizes you need are 250 x 250, 336 x 280, 300 x 250, 120 x 600 and 160 x 600.

When it comes to banner design keep it simple. I recommend using black text on a white background – this is what people are used to – think of newspapers, etc. Use a splash of red and yellow if need be and maybe one or two words flashing. Include the word ‘FREE’ in there somewhere, keep the text concise and include a ‘Click Here’ button.

Don’t include jazzy images as they will detract from your advert. Including an image of a brunette lady is often a good idea as it portrays sincerity. Also the use of arrows pointing to the action button works well. Once done, save them on your desktop where you can easily find them again.

Now what I want you to do is give this under exploited technique some thought and attention before next week. Then, I’m going to be showing you exactly how to set up your image / banner campaign in Google adwords so that you can earn an automated income. I’ll give you the exact settings that I use for my own campaigns, having spent a whole load of money testing the system. This means you can maximise your profits and minimise your cost from day one so make sure you read next Wednesday’s newsletter.

Until then….

Take care
